UK police said they believe that former minister and Reform UK politician Ann Widdecombe was attacked almost 24 hours before she was found dead at her home on Thursday morning.

Reform UK’s deputy leader Richard Tice said his party was being subjected to a “smear campaign” after a newspaper reported that London police are investigating a £500,000 ($671,000) donation.
