Bank of Montreal recently completed two significant risk transfers covering about $5 billion of corporate loans, becoming the latest Canadian lender to tap strong investor demand for the instruments.

ING Groep NV is hedging credit risk on about $10 billion of loans via significant risk transfers as banks worldwide bolster their use of the instruments to free up capacity for new lending.
